Pregnancy + Cell Phone Use = Bad Kids and Brain Cancer?
October 13, 2008The behavioral problems refer to emotional and relationship difficulties. According to the paper published in the journal Occupational Environmental Medicine, “a child’s brain absorbs radiation emitted from mobiles in greater proportions due to their skull formation.” The study found that kids exposed to phones prenatally and in early childhood were–get this–80% more likely to develop behavioral difficulties. Ouch.
And that ain’t all. Their research shows that 1) using cell phones on a daily basis for more than 10 years may up the risk of potential brain cancer and 2) male fertility may also be “deterred” by heavy usage of mobile phones. I guess you just have to determine your priorities in life.
Remember, there was once a time when we didn’t have cell phones glued to our ears every waking hour, and we managed to make it through life. Now people are so dependent on their cell phones that they have styles that clip right on your ear, so you never have to remove it until you go to sleep.
THE BEST BABY GIFT
Apparently, the best gift you can give your baby–and yourself–is to shut up. I mean it. And to help you do that, I’m going to give you five tips for eliminating or greatly reducing your cell phone use:
- Put your cell phone out of reach in your car or purse and use it only for emergencies.
- Almost any phone call can wait until you get home to your land line (fixed phone) or a public phone.
- Keep your conversations very brief (which will also save you money!)
- Ask your family and friends to call you at home and leave messages.
- Put this sign on your dashboard: “Pregnancy + Cell Phones = Bad Kids and Brain Cancer!”
Now look at this face! What is this baby is saying? She’s saying, “Mom, get off that cell phone! What the heck are you thinking?” Wouldn’t you feel guilty if your cell-phone addiction turned this adorable infant into a dysfunctional little monster? And you! Don’t you want to be around in 40 or 50 years to see your grandkids?
