A New Winter Hobby

It’s the beginning of a new year.  The Christmas rush has come and gone and the weather is getting colder and colder.  Most of us are spending more time indoors where it is warm.  Now is typically the time we all begin pulling out those old blankets, hats, scarves, sweaters, and mittens.

It’s the beginning of a new year.  The Christmas rush has come and gone and the weather is getting colder and colder.  Most of us are spending more time indoors where it is warm.  Now is typically the time we all begin pulling out those old blankets, hats, scarves, sweaters, and mittens.

If you are looking for a new, creative way to spend your cozy, indoor time this winter you should consider picking up a new indoor hobby like knitting or crocheting.  You might be surprised how easy it is to learn how to make all those winter adornments on your own.

I recently taught myself how to crochet and now I am making hats, scarves, and blankets for all my family and friends.  I especially love making items for friends who have babies, young children, or who are expecting a baby.  There is no better gift for someone than a homemade gift, especially an adorable piece of clothing that can be worn and shown off to friends and family.  Your friend will be so proud of your work and you might begin getting requests left and right from other people who want you to make them a crocheted or knitted piece of work.
