It seems that all new parents believe their baby is the cutest baby in the world.  And today with 250 million people connecting with each other through Facebook, parents can share photos of their little bundle of joy with the world at the click of a mouse.

Facebook is a wonderful tool for updating friends and family on what is happening in your life.  It is especially handy for sharing pictures of the growth and development of your new baby.  While it is likely that most of your Facebook friends are thankful to see photos and read updates, there is a new tool for those friends who would rather not have their Facebook pages bombarded with baby photos.

The tool is called “Unbaby Me” and it actually replaces baby pictures that are posted on Facebook with other photos of your choice. There must be quite a few people who are tired of having babies blown up all over their Facebook wall because the tool is gaining attention and quickly growing in popularity.

One of the developers, Chris Baker, said the idea arose from a conversation with two of his former co-workers who claimed that their Facebook feeds were “being hijacked by oversharing parents”.  So, they began collaborating on a new idea for a Google Chrome extension which would allow users to eliminate the photos from their Facebook feeds altogether.  Two weeks later, on August 1st, Unbaby.me was created.

The website, which offers a quick and easy installation, has already been viewed 300,000 times and has been downloaded more than 19,000 times.  The instructions on the site show just 3 easy steps as follows:

1. INSTALL

Hit that giant button down there and configure the extension.

2. BROWSE

Refresh Facebook. Any baby pics will now be cats or pugs or whatever you want.

3. REJOICE

Now you don’t have to look at all your friends’ annoying kids.
